Melissa Carubia is a New Jersey-based visual artist and art educator. She earned her B.A. in Art and B.A. in Education from Rowan University (2011–2015) and received her MFA at William Paterson University (2019–2025).

With a focus on painting and drawing, her current work explores themes of the human experience, vivid spiritual dreams, and the complexities of emotions. Her style highlights the intense vibrancy of saturated colors and use of bold contrasts to amplify the emotional impact. Each brushstroke is expressive and energetic, making the subject matter appear to shift in and out of focus, reflecting the fluidity of the mind and consciousness. The monumental scale of her work transforms emotion into a tangible entity, inviting viewers to acknowledge, reflect, and connect with their own personal interpretations.
